パラパラ Para Para!

Hiya gals! Today we will be discussing one of the funniest and healthiest aspects of Gyaru.....パラパラ

First I need to put out a little disclaimer saying that "Not all Gyaru's need to do Parapara and not all Parapara dancers are Gyaru" but the dance has become synonymous with Gyaru because they made up a lot of the dancers in Parapara's hayday which just so happened to be somewhere around the height Gyaru's popularity! This exercise is good for the shoulders, biceps, calves, and specific upper back muscles.

Parapara(パラパラ) is a dance from japan, popularized in Japanese disco night clubs such as Toa Kaikan, Aoyama"King&Queen", and the famed Juliana Tokyo. Parapara is usually pared with Eurobeat, Techno(Techpara), or Trance(Trapara). Starting in 1986, Parapara has seen many a booms, from its start, the opening of the ever loved Juilana's, and fully sponsored events like Avex and The Tokyo Dome! Now the dance isn't particularly hard to do, with its side to side steps to the beat and arm movements....it's the routines that trip you up.

As a Gyaru that enjoys parapara, and even if you look up parapara you'll see a few key routines to learn. The famed...."NIGHT OF FIRE" along with many others such as Velfarre 2000, My Sweet Banana, Ike Ike, and Love and Joy. Some of those are official routines, created by discos, companys, or popular Gyarusas(Angeleek & BlackDiamond), but then there are Maniac routines by small Gyaru groups, usually posted on Youtube. There are male and female routines! some songs have 2 differnt ver. respectively. Me, personally....I just learn both<3 (For my nonbinary and gender nonconfirming folks)

Now back to the music! Eurobeat  is a BIIIIIG part of parapara. Like yeah you can really Par to any type of music and there is Techpara and Trapara, but Eurobeat is in Parapara's blood. This being shown by games like ParaParaParadise and content packs like ParaParaPanic, which featured mostly Eurobeat songs. There are also the entire albums marketed to Gyarus like  all the EuroMach cds, all the Super Eurobeat Vol. cds, all the Super Dance Freak cds, and allllll the D-1 Grand Prix Parapara Cds (There are a shit ton of vol. for all these. It gets a lil confusing when they all have like the same artist drawing covers for them but they are different and cater to diferrent parapara types)

Now, my helpful self is gonna give you some channel plugs. <3
